AFTF's work is rooted on Hawaiʻi Island, with impacts that reach across the Hawaiian archipelago. Our programs advance forest restoration and stewardship, seed banking, ʻōhiʻa disease resistance research, biocultural education, and workforce development. Most of our work is based here on Hawaiʻi Island; some seed collection and research extends to Maui, Lānaʻi, and Kauaʻi, and we sometimes serve schools from other islands as well.
